Fished Possession yesterday. I was not really interested in Pinks. I was hoping for a late Chinook on the last day of the summer season or an early ocean Silver. I fished the SW corner and all the way to Skagit Head mostly on the incoming tide. Nada. Tried HotSpot and Squids of various colors, Coyotes and even a Silver Horde plug for awhile. 40 to 100 feet on the DR. Marked a lot of fish and bait balls. Had one good takedown but it didnt stick. I didnt see nay nets, 7-8 boats in the same area. Too early for Silvers and no Chinooks around either. Next good rain should bring in the Silvers.

I made two trips to Ucluelet BC this summer. There are hordes of Silvers in the ocean. I've been fishing the ocean for 40 years and I;ve never seen so many Silvers. Some of them have to show up in the local waters.
