Thanks to some very noisy neighbors at the motel, we hit the water at 6:30 am. 2 people in the boat caught a matching pair of 33 inch halibuts in 240 feet of water straight out from the olson's rv boat launch. after cleaning and packing those we headed up about a mile west of the sekiu river for rockfish and lings,....did good on the bottom fish, but every ling we caught was too small, with the biggest being 23 1/2"....Tried to stretch it as much as possible but tossed it back anyways, good thing too, since we were boarded by wdfw about 15 mins later. Passed safety inspection and went back to fishing for the rest of the afternoon. Bite dropped off so we called it a day about 3 pm. Good day on the water, mild seas and not too cold out.
