Chartered out of westport - great day got into lingcod at 8 am and limited the boat by 9:30 average size was about 6 pounds nice fighting fish. We drifted across the rock 4 times with herring on double hooks hitting the bottom at 160 feet and reeeling up 6 cranks and dropping down to bottom. We moved over by Moclips beach about a mile out and using light weight poles and reels fishing about 60 feet of water with a double hoock set up and a live anchovie sending it down to the bottom and cranking up 4 turns hitting rockfish about 4 pounds average nice fight bringing them up. As fast as you could bait your hook and get it back to the bottom I had another one on. Great day on the water we seen 2 pods of orca whales and a gray whale it was exciting to watch them. we had a blast.
