Got out late for the crab opener on Friday. Launched at around 3:00pm and had pots down out of Everett shortly thereafter. Our first pull was a little on the short side with only 6 keepers. We slightly re-located and re-set. Next pull we had one pot with 7 keepers (pictured) and the others all yielding over 3 each. Finished up and off the water with a limit of 15 by about 6pm. Went back out again Saturday evening. The weather was beautiful to start out, sunny and not a breath of wind. We were working up the crab and had 6 on the first set again. While the pots were soaking for the second set the wind picked up to about 20+ kts and the waves REALLY started building. They hit about 3 feet in the hour between sets and when we pulled our gear the second time we called it quits. 11 crab in the cooler and back to the launch by 5:30. Fished in less than 20 feet of water the entire time (always do) and most crab were from 15-18 feet deep. Chicken and sculpin were the best baits. Great weekend on the water, and delicious eats!!!
