'bout time i got out salmon fishin !
Heard from one guy that the fishin is red hot in the mornings.
Afternoon it slows down. Anyways, got to the hatchery at about 2 p.m started off with tossin a pink jig. Nothin, at about 4 p.m seen a school come, literally thousands of fish ! Out of the 30 guys there, not one hooked into a fish. This school left, and came back about 30 minutes later. This time around, one guy snagged a fish, took it to his car. I went up to the bank, had grandma call the warden, and he got a ticket. While i was on the bank, a guy legally caught one, and released it. He caught another very soon. I thought, well, literally hundreds of fish within 6-7 feet within me, and no one is gettin nothin. I looked at my jig, gave it a kiss, and BAM, fish on. This fish broke me off. Tied on a small 2 inch buzzbomb that i repainted. (pink, with green dots).
And at about 6, i hooked into another, right in the mouth, after about 2 minutes, my catch card lost its virginity ! A healthy hen, she was about 22 inches, and 4.5 pounds. (shes cleaned in the picture. Gave the eggs to a older gentlemen. And went back out, all the schools left, and nothin for the rest of the night for me or any one else. So out of 30 guys, 2 of us caught fish legally. So i thought, i did pretty darn good. Headin' back out in the morn.
