Had a nice little get-away with my parents to Westport back in November. We stayed at a nice condominium right on the beach! Saturday evening we caught two barely-keeper-sized crabs and cooked them up for dinner. The following morning, on Sunday, my dad and I went out to the marina again using old trout meat and caught 7 more keeper crabs, one of which was close to 7 inches across the shell! Took them home and cooked them all. They were DELICIOUS! Total catch between my dad and I was 9 crabs over two days. I also had the opportunity to try out a crab snare that I got from Walmart for $4. It works, but the only big one got away on the snare. Pretty fun to use though. All crab caught on the snare were C&R'd. Next time gotta bring the surf rod!
