Razor clamming was incredible at Roosevelt Beach today. Low tide was around 4:30. I showed up around 2:30 and had an easy limit by 2:50.

Fun fish story:
Then I did some surf perch fishing. First cast, I lost most of my line (it must of had a knick in it-- fairly old line). I went back to the car, relinned and rerigged my pole, walked back into the surf about 20 minutes later in a different area, and let fly again... Long story short, after about 10 minutes I unknowingly hooked my old line, pulled it in by hand, and a huge dungess crab (pictured hopefully) was tangled in it! Plus I got all my setup back-- leader, weight, hook (well, the crab ate the clam neck). Pretty dang wild considering I was fishing in the waves of the open ocean!

That looks like a big Azzzzz crab! Was it actually hooked? Usually they get tangled in the line.

MotoBoat- It was tangled up in the leader. The hook was wrapped around one of its legs, but not penetrating it. Thanks all!
