Hit southworth trolling no luck, tide change came up, the Joker, bremerton charter, showed up and started jigging just south of th southworth ferry dock so i figured what the heck. Gave my buddy a candlefish jig i had never caught anything on before and used a buzz bomb myself. No kidding on his first drop, bam, fish on. He was using a medium weight rod with a shitty reel with only 130 ft of line, which we found out very quickly after fish on. After chasing the fish with the boat due to short line landed a nice king....but at the boat looked clipped....once in the net the adipose was laid over to one side so back in went a 25-30 native....hurt to let go but for the greater good. My buddy is still in shock a day later. And along with the release out of respect for the species and law it paid off half hour later WDFW checked us out and 10 minuets after them kitsap county sheriffs came on board. Nicest fish ive ever seen in the sound great experience. No other salmon that day saw the Joker pick up 2 jigging at tide change.. tight lines all
