Hit the water with dear old Dad, early in the am, for first time. Seeing as all previous trips started at no earlier than 7:30. Same gear as previous outings. Green flasher/white hoochie combo on rod #1. Rod #2 had a red flasher/with green spatter hoochie. Gear down at 6:30am. Wind was milder than yesterday, but not calm by any means. In fact the waves were just short of white capping.

First hit came at 8:00. Was a double header. Attempted to land Dad's first. But that one unbuttoned long before getting close enough for a peak at the size. I reeled in the other rod and a mid size 5lber+ is in the box.

3 hits between 9:00 and 10:30, all come unbuttoned.......very Frustrating indeed!

Wind starting to build, white caps are back! Rocking while on land has not subsided from yesterday and here comes equilibrium rocking, round two..

Dad fights what we think to be a fish. Rod loads like a jelly folded onto the line, but then the rod pops from the downrigger and tip starts bouncing and loads up good. A few turns of the reel handle and tip bouncing stops, and rod strain is gone too! Nothing is there!

11:30 another serious hit on the green flasher. This one sticks after a hook and leader change. 2 fish in the box. This fish would barely go 5lb

Just when I thought the wind was maxed out, it wasn't. Solid 3 and 4 footers, white caps surrounding us. We rocked ourselves North and South of the Meadow point can.

12:15 fish number 3 hits the green flasher rod, safely over the side and in the cooler. Lines out of the water at 12:30.

Send Dad home with 2 even though all his chances came unbuttoned. Can't let a guy go home empty handed. Besides, my filleting skills are very well honed from the past week of success.
