After a bit of a hiatus, we headed out on the Bar to check out the Blackmouth opportunities and did some crabbing too. We got going out of Everett at 6:30 am and had the pots in the water by 7 near the Mukilteo docks. It was a bit choppy on the way over to the Bar but we got our lines in at 7:30. Fishing was a little slow to start, we tried one plug (Silver Horde) and one flasher (Red Racer) with a 3.5" Kingfisher Lite Spoon (Cop Car). All of our bites were on the spoon so we switched the other line over to it. We ended up with a star fish, a few shakers and a couple near keepers (20" and 21") that went back immediately. Crabbing was ok but we only ended up with 4 keepers on a 5 hour soak. It was well worth it even though we didn't get to keep any since we all had a great time so I'm going with a 3 regardless.
Enjoy!
Brian
