Left the launch at Mukilteo at about 6:00 AM, had enough sand dab in the livewell for a full day of fishing about an hour later, and had our lines in the water over on possession bar by about 7:30. It took us a little over an hour to find a nice rock pile, but once we did we were hooked into a double within minutes. Managed to get both fish in the boat. One was 32'', the other 34''. Made it back to the launch by 9:30. Gotta love when everything goes right!

Only problem with that is figuring out what to do with the rest of your day...

Where/how do you get the sand dabs? Is there a technique, topography they like, are do you buy them....? Might be a bunch of dumb questions, but I am looking for the answers of them anyway. You can send me the info offsite if that helps too: kgowens@gmail.com

Sand dabs are pretty much everywhere in puget sound. You might have to look for them a bit but all I did was follow the shoreline south from mukilteo and posted up in between 50-100 ft. of water and jigged a 2 1/4 oz point wilson dart for them. Probably not the most effective technique, but I never seem to have any trouble picking them up when I am jigging for salmon so I figured it would work, and it did.

Thanks for the pointers! I really appreciate it! I am hoping to get out and do some fishing next weekend!
