I have spent countless hours on this lake chasing bass and I am going to give up. I hear it has been good years ago but I am convinced the bass population is way down. The virus this lake had in 2001 that killed many perch including some big bass I saw floating has added to its condition.

I haven't totally given up on this lake because the Musky population is good. I boated four, lost two and had a few follows in two evenings of fishing. The lure I used was a home make buck tail.

Muskies take many years to become trophy size and don't reproduce so please release these supper sport fish. The fight of a 30 to 60lb Musky can snap line, break your pole, and blow your mind.

I hope all of us can hook into one of these big bad devils someday so let them fight another day.
