We went to Sekiu again the 19th-21st. Worked hard in the rough water Friday and Saturday for a barely legal king and a pink. The water flattened out on Sunday and the fishing picked up. The green and chrome coyote spoon my girlfriend bought at Olsons that morning got nailed by this toad of a king! Gotta thank our nieghbors in the campground for the tip! We always meet great folks in Sekiu. Anyway, this thing nailed it and immediately flew out of the water 6 times. Got it to the net and, YES its a hatch!! We bonked it and then i nailed a 16lb wild fish a half hour later. Revived it and he swam away healthy. We were using riggers in 170' of water, 69ft deep on the wire when we hit the big kings. We released 15 sub-legal and wild kings and 3 wild coho on saturday so the big keeper on Sunday really made the trip, as you can see by the smile on her face.
