Hit Carkeek Park right at high tide around 6:30pm and there was one or two other guys fishing already. I rigged up a 2.5" pink buzzbomb with a mini pink hoochie below it and started throwing it. I started near the mouth of the creek and worked my way north out to the point and eventually all the way to the north where the shore recedes to the rocks below the railroad tracks. By that time (around 8pm), several other anglers had arrived and were fishing. About half were using buzzbombs and the other half were fly fishing. I took a break and watched the sunset and got back after it once the sun was almost down. I saw a couple small fish jump and casted to their area. I had a couple little bites but no hook ups. Nobody else caught anything while I was there either. One guy told me he saw a couple salmon jump, but nobody else could confirm his story. Fished until 9:45pm and packed it up.... skunked.
