Got on the lake about 9am went straight to the cove at the VA hospital , fish finder showed a few fish around the 7 to 15 foot range so I through a night crawler out under a bobber and drifted while rigging my trolling rods. Didn't get any hits after about an hour so I through out my trolling rig (Dodger with a green wedding ring trailing it and half a night crawler with a 1 ounce cannon ball weight to get it down) and tried that for 6 hours. The fish are heavily congregated in 60 feet of water at the 25 to 30 foot level. I had several hits on the lure and only reeled in 1 nice 14 inch fatty rainbow.
The fish are definitely there in very large numbers and a good amount are large fish as sonar indicated , they just aren't feeding heavily probably due to weather conditions. So I don't see any indications of any lake poisoning , as the lake looks the same as the past 10 years I been fishing it.
