After work Thursday crabbed and fished Hood Canal. For crab we were using salmon carcasses for bait. The commercial crabbers were just pulling out. Four pulls resulted in about 20 females crabs. For salmon we were trolling Coho killers and Kingfisher spoons. Even around the mouth of the Skok, the canal was packed with big jellyfish. After about 10 minutes of trolling the downrigger wire, lines, and lures would be completely slimed.
I did accidentally catch one sanddab on a Coho Killer. Oh well, nice day at least!
