8/22/2013 7:59:00 AMWe used 11 inch flashers. In the past I have used dodgers with 14-16 inch leaders and a pink mini sqid. i couldn't get my kicker to go slow enough for the dodgers to work properly so we used the flashers.
Went again yesterday with a buddy who had only fished a couple times in his life and never in the saltwater. Also took his 10 year old son and my 5 year old son. It was fun to see how excited his son was to land his first salmon. We put 14 humpies in the boat and lost about 20. Lost on silver at the boat. 60 feet was the magic depth from 8:00 - 1:00.
