Had a bit of a late start but rods were down by 8:30. Started trolling S. about a 1/4 of mile from Mukilteo heading to the shipwreck. First rod buckled over within ten minutes. Small white flasher w/ pink squid around 45 ft. Well, I thought, this will be our day to put on a clinic! So...nope...guess those pinks never got the memo. We worked pretty hard and managed to have about 6 hook ups the rest of the day until 2 ish. Early fish were on the small flasher / long leader in < 50 ft, then, as the day progressed, the large flasher > 60 ft got all the attention. We fished every where from 100 to 500 feet of water slow and fast. Our best action was in around 200 feet with a fairly fast troll (> 2.0). None of our fish today seemed to hear the rule about 'go slow for Humpies, then slow it down some more.' Most of our hook ups were also directly on the weed line or as we crossed it.
