9/2/2013 12:39:00 PMGlad you caught fish and the better part to me at least is being able to bond with ones kid and share that memory.

We put in at Mukilteo about 5.30am and slowly headed south. we had two rods out, one with the small white flasher and the other with the standard size. We had just finished commenting on the number of seals in the area when my daughter hooked her first fish, she had it on for all of 45 seconds before the seal got it. About the time we hit the shipwreck I decided to kill the motor and jig for a bit, always nice to get a break from the exhaust fumes.
In less than two minutes we were into another fish, unfortunately due to my kids inexperience we lost this one at the net, however the action remained steady we caught a few and lost a few.
One thing I did do was bring my river rod with a 3/8 oz jig and any time a school went past on the surface I cast into them and fish on. Sure is fun on light gear.
We ended the day with 8 fish, 4 hens and 4 bucks.
We called in quits at 2.30pm.
Only problem I had was at the dock, trying to line up to back down the ramp while cars kept squeezing by, then had some gal standing in the middle of the ramp looking out to the boats completely oblivious of me about to run her down.
