You have to have bad days to appreciate the good ones and today was not a good one.
I put in at Everett and oversleeping by an hour was once again the trick to missing the crowd at the ramps. The coast guard was busy checking everyone, always good to see.
I headed out and dropped my line in the water just north of the ferry line, figure I might as well try for some silvers on my way south to the shipwreck. Nothing not even a knock. Changed over to humpy gear and tried everything I could think of, I did hook into one but lost it before I even got a chance to see it. Lots of boats out and the way they all headed back to the ramp around 1.30 makes me think many of them were in the derby. I notice the Mukilteo ramp was closed today, some even was being held in the park, explains why the Everett lot was much fuller than I normally see it.
Throughout the whole day I saw very few fish jumping and only saw one boat using its net.
Called it a day around 3pm.
