Fished Green Lake yesterday with Robyn Dosono, Monty and Ciera Reed. Robyn caught a couple medium ones right off of the bat, I caught a small, then large shortly afterward, then a few more small to medium. Just finished eating the large, 15", fish. A little earthy but real good tasting. Monty and Ciera didn't hook into any but Ciera, a 6 year old, reeled in one of mine. She let out a great laughter as it splashed about on the water. That was good to see. Her attention span was short but she enjoyed the outing. We released a couple that were lip hooked and walked away with seven terminal catches. They were biting very gently and cleaning our hooks until they shined! All power bait, single hook, about 18" leader, mostly in close to shore but some were deep. It's fishin and it's close by unlike the wonderful waters of Williams Lake and other Eastern Washington lakes. An earlier trolling expedition resulted in very few fish in Green Lake. Power Bait and slip sinker seems to be the way to go for volume and size!
