Motored down to the shipwreck area from Everett in the dark. Lots of marks on the fish finder. Missed several bites and a few long distance release. About 9:00 landed our first a 7 Lbs hen. Back fishing and loose another one right a way. Rebaited and was lowering the gear down then felt the line pop out of the release clip. Thinking that was strange until I see a good size coho jump behind the boat about 70 feet. No that's on my line. Quickly reel up the slack line and begin the battle. After a short time we net a 9 Lbs buck. Next couple hours only shakers except my buddy hooks into a good fish with lots of fight only to find out at the boat that it was a 11lbs plus blackmouth so we released it. Called it quits at noon. Fish checker at Everett said 3 coho per boat was the average.
Still some out there guys. Hope you can hit them up this weekend.
