Headed out to the coast for the weekend and some clam digging with some friends. Got the too late to dig on Friday but my buddy was still cleaning theirs so it was looking promising for Saturday. My buddy has never surf fished so Saturday morning we took some clam necks and hit the beach. We were on fish right away and we're catching them fast and furious for about an hour before the school moved on. Headed back to the house, cleaned em, had some homemade clam chowder for lunch, crashed for a couple hours then down to the beach for the dig. 5 limits in an hour meant we didn't even have to break out the headlamps! Back to the house, cleaned em and had fried clams and surf perch for dinner. Sunday we stopped by the Humptulips hatchery just to see what was going on. About a dozen fishing but looked to be pretty slow (at least while we were there). Great family weekend with great friend, clams and fish in the freezer, what could be better
