I caught the low tide a little before 8:00 Thursday morning. I looked around for sand shrimp but no shows. I fished with night crawlers and gulp for about 3 hours. I caught one undersized Dungeness on gulp. Fishing wise it was a bust.

The beach was fairly crowded for a weekday. And around 11;00 I got swamped with surfers. At first I was kind of peeved that with miles of empty beach they had to surf where the one fisherman was set up. However I think they were there for the same reason I was, the way the surf was hitting that spot. Time for me to go anyway.

Nice weather, lots of happy kids running around, and I talked to several people that stopped to ask about my dog, my cart, or fishing in general. Glad I went but I couldn't find the surfperch.
