3 days of fishing this week out of WP.
Tues, ran west of the bar, fishing was hit and miss between 200-300' depths. Lots of fish but nooks that were too small and wild coho, all released. Headed south a ways and found lots more hungry fish. They hit anything dropped in the water. Again, a lot of catch and release. I did pick up a nice ho and a keeper nook.
Wed, ran SW, fished 250-300 foot depths, extreme action for catch and release and eventually picked up a couple of nice coho. They hit anything and everything I drug under the boat.
Thurs, a friend joined me and we headed N. We both picked up a couple of nice kings and then headed for bottom fish. We filled out our limit of sea bass methodically and in short order. Lings were next, Ron pulled up and released a halibut to start it out then it was ling central! Ron caught more lings than I. I was slowing down with this being my third day fishing. I did end up with the largest ling. No scale but big enough!
The coho need a bit more size for me to get overly excited about them but.... Find the fish and it's non stop action right now!
