1st day of the week with a -2 tide got me motivated to get out + I needed the exercise.
Did the fishing from the shore trick, so got there at approx. 8:30 this am at one of my secret drop offs, surprised to be the only one at the beach and no boats in sight.
Because of the low tide I counted 10+ nice size red rocks/ & 4 pairs of dungy mating no more than a foot high around the weed patches (see pic of red rock underneath weed patch).
I can easily pick them up, separate them apart while they're on their honeymoon and report my catch, but that's no fun and it just doesn't sound right?
Crabbing was hot from the get go, every cast there was a tug on line within a minute or two - and at least 3 to 5 crabs in a trap at a time (with 1 or 2 keepers here and there), so by a 1/4 past 9 - I was done.
Ended up with just 1 Jumbo (7"+) and 4 that measured 6 1/4" - 6 1/2", marked my card and headed home.
