We went fishing and crabbing. Just me and my dad. great bonding time. My dad went for perch with smelt jigs. caught alot. Landed one pretty large striped perch. We caught mostly Pile perch which was about 20. We usally get around 50. Remember, there are NO limit on perches! Fish on Anglers and tight lines!!

Sounds like a good time Johause12! Careful though on thinking there are no limit on perch. That is true for freshwater perch, you will see it written in the regs on page 17 for no limits on freshwater perch. However salt water perch you will find have a limit.
"SURFPERCH Year-round No min. size. Daily limit 10.
Except SHINER PERCH daily limit 15: not included in BOTTOMFISH limit." Area 10

Unfortunately this reg. is a little unclear on all the perch species. Surfperch have a couple varieties, it mentions shiners, but does not speak to striped perch. All I'm saying is good times with your dad, but there is a fresh water/salt water difference on the reg.

PLEASE if you're going to state the rules, read them first!!! Statewide FRESHWATER rule for panfish is as follows (found on pg 17 of 2014 regs pamphlet):

"CRAPPIE, NORTHERN PIKEMINNOW, PEAMOUTH CHUB, PERCH, SUCKERS, SUNFISH, CATFISH (except CHANNEL), BULLFROGS, ROCK BASS, STRIPED BASS:

No min. size. No daily limit."

It says "NO DAILY LIMIT". UNLESS the the body of water you are fishing is listed in the Special Rules Section (which any angler should always check FIRST), AND restricts PERCH on that SPECIFIC body of water, there is NO LIMIT for freshwater perch STATEWIDE just like Quad said.

This does not include saltwater perch and you should read the rules for SALTWATER perch on pg 103 of the 2014 Regs Pamphlet. There is, however, a disparity in limit, the printed version of the current regs states 10 but the .pdf version from WDFW website says 12. I don't know which is correct, no surfperch in east side waters. ;-)

I need to clarify my comment regarding SALTWATER Perch, it depends on the Marine Area you are fishing, so be sure to check the pamphlet for the specific Marine Area you plan to fish. My comment above specifically refers to Marine Area 2 only.
