While I respect what their primary objective is, checking to make sure you're packing a card when your boat numbers can confirm your status seems a bit over the top. Last year they threatened me with a cite because the capacity tag wasn't there. Turns out, a 25' boat doesn't need one. (I checked) Really makes you think what these guys are really out there to do.

9/2/2014 3:15:00 PMManland2010, when you say, "Boater's Registration card" are you referring to the card that shows you took the test for operating a vessel, etc. Online test... Or do you mean the general registration paperwork that comes from the DMV? I keep them both in the boat, but just curious for clarification.
