On water by 0600 for The Edmonds Coho Derby, shot up north towards Skatchett Head, trolled most of the morning along with many others, mostly from the derby I assume. Saw 1 net in over 4 hours of fishing, incredible. Made our way to Possession, hardly any bait, so different from the day before. Dropped 1 of my brothers off @ 1100 at the marina, shot out towards the eastside of Possession nada!! Was not seeing too many nets, derby results were so tame at best, probably due to lack of fish, not many turned in @ 1000-1100, poor showing. seeing a 8# leading for a bit made me shudder, what's happening this year, so good earlier in the week, then nothing, Called it a day @ 1345, brother borrowed friends car to get trailer at his house, boats been moored. Our friend and I shot out just N of ferry terminal, within minutes my lines comes off the clip, 9.7# coho, 8.28 dressed, would have been good for 4th. Dropped again and went back, off the clip again, 4# coho, incredible, fished almost 7 1/2 hours with nothing to show, then with a 1/2 after the derby, I get my limit,..at least I have something to to take home, 3 stars due to time spent,,...
