Launched out of everett around 6:30 and had lines in the water around 7:15. Started just south of the Mukilteo ferry where we had luck last weekend. Got the first fish in the boat around 7:30 at 60ft down which was a 5.5lb hatchery hen. Trolled south for a little longer then the wind picked up and we were trolling against the current going nowhere. Picked up the gear and motored to Browns Bay and trolled north with the current. Trolled all the way to Mukilteo and got the second and last fish in the boat, a 5.8lb hatchery hen, 80ft down at same spot as first fish around 8:45 or so. Made a couple more runs from shipwreck to mukilteo with no more hits. Called it around 11. Marine forecast called for 1ft or less wind waves, but they were more like 2+. My bro got pretty sick. Seems pretty slow out there. Fish checker said it was 1 fish/boat avg which is pretty bad when most boats have 2+ anglers. With 2000+ anglers expected for the derby, and the lack of fish around, ill be staying far away from there this weekend. Good luck out there.
