This time I decided to fish the salt for Cutts,.....The action wasn't as hot for Cutts,...( landed 7 ) but the Coho took up the slack, hooked 2 landed 1 on a fly I made up. I call it the Orange hoochie fly

Landing 7 is hot in my book. Sounds like you had a good trip. Tight lines!

Sounds fun! What weight rod were you using?

My main outboard is down. I have confidence in my kicker though. I live 15 minutes from Camano Island State Park and see that Area 82 starts at the CamanoIsSP/Northend SaratogaPassage. As of yet, have NOT seen anyone trolling/targeting within view of SP-looking SE.

I've got a new Scotty downrigger/etc at yard sale itching to try it. Am i wrong in thinking i can try for cohos SE of C.I.S.P.?

...OOPS- submitted too soon. I would like to try for the Searun cutthroats too in the same CISP region. What part of 8-2 were you fishing??

Cutthroat sound like a sweet plan...

I tried the run between Hat Island and the south tip of Camano last Sunday targeting coho. Didnt get there until 1pm. I marked alot of fish down 50-60ft in that area and caught one shaker, but no coho. If I could get there earlier I bet they would bite, but the fog was thick so I waited for it to burn off.
