Fished 8-2 today. Elger Bay. Caught a nice wild blackmouth about 6-7lbs, and a couple shakers. Purple Haze flasher and Cookies & Cream spoon. Incoming tide. About 70 feet down in 90 feet of water.

Thought we had our first keeper blackmouth but too many fins. Rats!!!

Lost only purple haze and spoon somehow right after. Hmmm maybe a little more care knot tying would be in order. Tried a bunch of stuff. More flashers, spoons, squid, needlefish hoochie and coho killer. Caught the shakers on coho killers. Not sure why.

Windy and rough. We didnt get there until about 9-9:30. Think probably should have lines in water at sunup. Dont know for sure.

Looks like a lot of bait and maybe fish in the area.
