We do the charters once a year in a big group on the Tequila Too, Captian is pretty awesome. Had an awesome morning of sea Bass, then went after the lingys. I watched everybody on my side of boat keep getting there lines tangled because they would just let it sit with the current. I kept my line pretty active. After about 1 minutes on the bottom i would crank up and redrop. Well i noticed a little action on my line and decided to let it be and then all the sudden it seemed i had hooked bottom. No give what so ever. I though i was stuck until we hit some good rollers and i realized i was getting some line. so i started pulling line in by hand. Well about 30 minutes later. I saw the fish below me. He had a little yellow fin in his mouth. Just didnt want to let go of that fish in his mouth. 29lbs. Awesome trip.
