Report #2:
Stopped at dash point after work, around 7pm and talked to some fishermen who said that nothing had been caught there. Standing on the dock, I looked at the water and the visibility didn't look all that great, so I decided to drive a mile south and try my luck at browns point. Water visibility was great, and at around 8pm, after 45 minutes of fishing, I hooked a 17.5 inch pink. Not the biggest fish, but the first one of the year for me, so I was very pleased. I got one more bite after that, but it didn't stick. Packed up around 8:45. I was using a 1/8th oz pink jig w/ pink yarn tied to it, twitching it through the water with a 9.5 ft pole and 8lb Pline, the best there is out there in my opinion. I swear it feels stronger than 8lb, but maybe that's just me... I will try again this weekend, probably in the a.m.
