We (12) people started out 5:30am from Westport. I was ready for the long ride North for good fishing grounds. Instead we head South around the jetty and start fishing. This has to be the closest I have ever fished off of Westport EVER! So the Captain stops the boat 180 yards off shore and we start to fish in 25ft of water. Doesn't take long before FISH ON! We pick up 5 fish 3 kings 9-14lbs and 2 Coho 4 lb & 7 lb. We motor to new location continue fishing within 200 yards from the previous spot never leaving sight of the Jetty and Ocean Shores. Fishing slows down and we hit 2 more fish. Kings 14 & 18 lbs. During the trip we released 7 wild Kings and Coho. Day coming to a end and the captain took us in near the Jetty and I pick up nice 18 lb King in 30ft of brackish water and less than 150 yards from Westport Harbor. 3 more fish were taken in this area before time was up and we motored in. 10 Salmon for 12 guys and the 4 guys in my party take 6 out of the 10 salmon. Not a bad day for me at least. P.S. Thanks to Pro Cure Bloody Tuna made out bait out fish the other guy's.
