Fished CQ 7/22 through today 7/25 in my Seahawk, me, my son in law and his stepdad. We did well. the only reason didn't give the trip a 5 was the 5 wild Chinooks we had to release including two in the 20's and one that had to be over 30. My personal opinion is that a lot of these so called wild fish come from Canadian hatcheries and the Canucks don't fin clip Chinooks. But we did get to keep 8 clipped Chinooks ranging from 9 to 17 pounds. I don't do digital pics but if you look at Olsons Resort website you will see a pic of my son in law and his stepdad holding 4 Chinooks we got on Friday. Downriggers 80 to 100 feet, flashers and either Kingfisher spoons or Squids with Ace High Fly insert plus a twinkle skirt and a salted herring strip. We switched over to the Squids entirely on Thurs night since they were doing the best. Oniy exception is the bite was slow on Sat morning and we switched to Tomics trolled fast and deep 110 to 140 and got two. Mostly out front... Caves, Eagle Beach etc although we did troll from the Coal Mines to Mussolini for a bit and pulled the Tomics near Kydaka Pt. Good trip.
