After doing no good on the Snohomish in the am, I was going to go to kayak point, but forgot my pass. Decided to drive up to Deception Pass. Billion people out today...tourists, campers, etc. Managed to grab a parking spot and checked out North beach. Fair amount of people fishing, but not like Bush Point. Ample space between all of us. Guy south of me hooks and lands one. Few minutes later, I got my fish. Pink buzz bomb with hootchie and Mike's Shrimp Oil. I may try kokanee krill dipping sauce next trip though. Bite shut down after that and I fished until 3 pm or so. Seemed to be slow. I may have brave the combat crowd at Bush or Lagoon points. I did briefly scout out West Beach and it looked good to me, but it was time to go. I'll probably try that one first next time.
