My brother-in-law and I went out of Mukilteo and headed towards the shipwreck. We dropped two crab pots then trolled with a white flasher and pink squid with a thin strip of herring. I am new to trolling and it took a while to figure out a rhythm. Eventually I got my first take and I netted my first salmon (pink) out of the sound! After an hour I found the rhythm again and caught my second pink. As I was lowering my downrigger a fish hit and I only fought it for a few seconds before it got off. That was it for the day it seemed. No more bites for us around 8:30. My brother-in-law didn't get a single hit on his pole. On our way back to the launch we pulled out pots. Mine was full of females and 1 monster male. Jordan's had 1 female in it... And no bait to be seen.
