Report#4:
Fished Browns Point for the first time since returning from my 1 week visit to Baltimore. Arrived around 7 and fished until 8:45ish. Had the first hit around 7:45. Fish didn't stick, however I believe the same fish came back a second time several seconds later and hit my jig again. This time it stuck, and I can see the fish rolling under the surface in 15 ft in front of me. But after a 5 second battle, the fish came undone, and swam away. This however, gave me hope, and right after sunset, I hooked and landed 2 fish within 10 minutes of each other. Went home happy, and will likely hit the water again today, after work. I was, and always use an 1/8th oz. pink jig w/ pink yarn tied to it.
The second picture is that of a 18 inch largemouth bass I caught on Monday, during my vacation at a small local river in Baltimore. This was my first time intentional fishing for largemouth, and the biggest one I've ever caught. I was sight fishing off the bridge in the photo, and saw the fish nesting against a bolder. I casted a nightcrawler his way and sure enough, he took the bait. Only using 8 lb fluorocarbon, I didn't want to risk loosing the fish by trying to pull it up onto the bridge, so I had to walk down to the shore and land the fish there. It was an amazing experience, and I hope to do it again next time I visit Baltimore.
