Caught the 5 AM Mukilteo Ferry out to Whidbey Island to check out Driftwood Park with my father. Arrived around 6AM. There were probably around 20+ people already there (at its peak there were probably 60+). I was tossing a pink 2" rotator with a pink mini hoochie. I hooked into five... landed four by 8:15AM. My dad caught one which took a little longer. I was tossing the rotator out and giving it a very finessed deliberate vertical twitch/jig back to shore seemed to work well for me, making sure to keep it in the zone as long as possible. A decent number of fish rolling and jumping which made catching them a little easier. Fishing completely died around 10 AM which is about when my dad decided to throw in the towel. Definitely no guaranteed limits but good times. All the fish were in the 3 lb range after being bled and gutted.
