Hello, went over to Westport to fish for bottom fish and had a great day. Didn't actually catch a Ling myself but still had a good day. Caught the boat's limit of Sea Bass up to about 6 lbs on live bait. It was fast action and we were catching them only 20' below the surface (water was about 100' deep). We had our limit in only about 45 minutes! After that we headed for the Ling Cod. Caught only 6-8 as they're mouths were closed kind of tight, however one of the guys managed a really nice 25# one. Little bonus for myself, caught a nice 24" Coho (My first salmon) which will look nice on the smoker! Our captain went above and beyond to provide us a very ample opportunity to catch a good mess of fish even extending the trip by an extra hour. Really hospitable and I am recommending him to everyone. Younger fella that's about to finish his second season as owner operator.
