Fished the shipwreck area this morning. Had 1 solid bite about 7am on my usual green flasher and blue squid, then trolled until 9 without another bite. About that time I divided to change it up a little bit. Tied a pearl/glow squid to a different green flasher with an orange stripe down the side. I sent it down 40 feet and it almost instantly had a fish on. Didn't even have time to put my rod in the holder before it hit. Brought into the boat a 2015 standard 4 lb coho. The only other action I had all day was a little after 10am when I reeled in to clean the grass off my line and had a coho follow it all the way to the boat. Unfortunately I saw it too late, just as my line broke the surface. The fish also broke the surface trying to get at my squid, but missed, then darted off. I'll have to pay more attention when I'm reeling in. LOL
