Decided to try our luck at Mukilteo see if we could catch anything. We must have arrived right at the peak of high tide as the water was only a few feet from the bottom of the dock. This is what we think killed it for us. The whole day we spent casting right and watching our lines slide to the ferry dock in a matter of seconds it seemed. Maybe we were just ignorant of the tides for the day but I don't remember us having such a hard time staying on the bottom and retrieving in a straight line to the dock. My buddy even through a big ball weight on and still the his line would travel all the way over to the other side of the dock. The wind also didn't help with casting but it wasn't as bad as it had been. We tried a little of everything as far as bait goes. Tried pieces of cured coonstripe shrimp, rotten worms (ALWAYS REMEMBER TO CHECK YOUR WORMS BEFORE BUYING), soft plastic grubs and worms, powerbait (why not), nothing was biting. We were shocked we didn't even get a nibble or a bullhead. Just one of those days, probably try next weekend and show up when the tide isn't flying out of the sound. It was fun watching all the diver ducks so that was a plus. Also parking is now stupid expensive, going to see if there are alternatives to get around paying $8 for a few hours...
