Started out about noon seen a lot of salmon in the river the place was packed.People were everywhere.Found a spot and set-up to fish, fished for awhile with no luck.Started watching other people fish since I've never fished a river for salmon before.A couple of kids were ignoring the regulations and were snagging fish with a treble hook a big no-no.So my girlfriends dad decided against common sense and a whole bunch of warnings from everyone with us,to try out a treble hook and see if he can snag one.Well time goes by and no fish for anyone. So I quit fishing all together, and start talking to a couple of real nice gentlemen about the fishing and unknown to me they were plain clothed game wardens. So I leave the area to round up the rest of our group, and then the kids who were snagging decided to leave and the gentlemen who I was speaking to earlier whip out there badges and started rounding up the culprits and in the midst of all this my girlfriends dad gets booked with a ticket for $540 for attempting to snag. One of the kids thought because he was Native American he could snag fish.Well he is sitting in the Mason County jail for poaching. All in all a humorous day on the waterThe reason I say this is because if you knew my girlfriends dad he knows everything and you can't tell him a darn thing. So in closing please read the reg book and look out for plain clothes game wardens if your up to no good.I will definitely be back tomorrow .
