Woke up the daughter and got to the Snoh at about 5:45 Labor Day morning. The park opened at 5:30 (found this out by talking to the kind attendant the evening before). Got a good parking space. It was warm, and the river was very low (low tide for the city of Snohomish was at 5AM).
Started casting a pink/white spoon since it was still dark. When it started getting lighter, switched to a silver/bronze Dick Nite. Stuck with that for the rest of the morning. I got a couple of hits on the Dick Nite, so I knew where the fish were. Kept at it and landed this fish at about 7. We left at 8.
It was crazy crowded there. Fishing elbow to elbow. Too bad the weather's nice. If you go, don't expect to have much room.
