got out to the river around 7pm with my lil bro and a friend. we all fished dick nights on a drift set up from shore. couple other people there, not as many as i expected. i think most had already headed home. we fished till about 830. i managed to pull in one hen, that was in superb condition. had a couple other strikes, but no hook ups.

i did somehow managed to snag a buck in its side, but i released him cause i technically didn't catch him. My brother asked me why i let him go, i told him that it wasn't fair cause the fish didn't bite the hook. i snagged him and its against the law i told him. i told him we would only keep the fish if the hook is inside the fish's mouth, not even if it was hooked on the outside. i hope he understood. my brother and my friend only had one bite each, no hook ups.

My first pink landed this year, so I'm happy. dad got a chance to fire up the smoker. hopefully I'll get out sometime this week.
