2/10/2008 2:12:00 AMyeah man the water is running high. use a single corky , red , glow........ lots of weight fish higher and use a short leader. stick with one thing and dont switch it up usually when you do that you lower your chances i think.

2/10/2008 10:18:00 PMi am waiting for the rain to stop and the wind to die down before i hit any river. i never had much success when it rains hard or the wind blows hard. on a calm winter day, i went to a river, and i saw steelhead actually rise up to the surface showing part of its head and back. it is spetacular! not quite, but almost like summer steelhead taking a dry fly.

8/24/2008 2:55:00 PMDoes anyone know the exact definition of a steelhead? I have heard a steelhead trout trout is a rainbow longer than 20 in. and some people say its a completely different species.
