Fish the Cowlitz all weekend. It was pretty slow especially for us. We ended up catching about a dozen really small steelhead on jigs and blue foxes. At blue creek we saw a couple but didn't get any bites or see any caught. At barrier dam we did get a few hits but none stuck. We talked to man who had caught 1 springer and saw another guy walk away with 2. We stayed about 3/4 mile away from the dam, we had a few hits there and saw 2 fish jump. We heard the water was too cold and we heard the water was too clear for the fishing. This being my 1st time I cant verify if either were true. The people at the Barrier Dam camp ground are very nice and we very helpful (especially since we weren't staying there). They also run a very nice tackle shop.
