Took a buddy from work to the river today. Water was colder than expected and the wind was 15-20 miles an hour and made it really tough. First cast produced a fiery little pike that wrapped in the weeds. We didn't see another fish for a while. Cruised around some different spots. Finally anchored in a spot that looked liked it might produce. Fished into a windblown bank and produced 12 fish without lifting the anchor. Moved down the bank a little ways and picked off 6 more pike and a 4lb largemouth. First largemouth of the year on a buzz bait. Pike weren't taking the buzz yet. Ended up catching about 25-30 pike on the day and a dozen bass. Didn't get pics because I couldn't find the camera but we got some very good video of the day!
