Fished the Pend O river on Tues and Wed looking for Pike. Caught one small Pike in the 20 inch range and had a few bigger Pike hit cranks but was not able to hook them. We fished from the Newport area all the way up to Usk. Caught a number of small and large mouth bass. The biggest was 2 3/4 lbs. Had one large mouth on that I lost at boat side when it decided to tail walk once more. Looked like it was in the 4-5 lb range. My wife also had a fish cut her plastic worm off and roll on the surface and I think it was a little Pike. She had no steel leader on. If you fish in this area be careful. Water is really low and I hit bottom doing about 30 mph and damaged my hull and lower end. I guess I am going to see how well the Ins plan is.
